Casting: New York, New York


NBC and The American Black Film Festival is seeking qualified talent for an open call casting competition in the New York area. The client is seeking aspiring male and female actors, ages 18 and older, all ethnic backgrounds, who can play diverse characters and who are looking to take their acting career to the next level. All talent MUST arrive to this casting call with a current headshot and acting resume (stapled back to back). During the audition actors, will need to perform two Contemporary Monologues (dramatic or contemporary resembling the tone of a film or television show), each being under two minutes in length. All talent MUST check their availability before submitting because time slots are limited for auditions. Please see additional details below:

Audition Date: Wednesday and Thursday, March 29th – 30th 2017

Registration Time: 8:00 AM *Auditions begin at 9 AM*

The Winner Will Receive:

A Roundtrip airfare to Miami, FL to attend the American Black Film Festival on June 15th – 18th 2017

4-night hotel stay in Miami

SoBe Festival Pass to attend exclusive screening and Opening & Closing Night VIP Parties

A Scholarship to participate in the Tasha Smith’s Acting Workshop

VIP access to the NBCUniversal Short Film Festival semi-finals in August in New York and the finale in October in Los Angeles (travel & hotel not included)
