Rehearsal Dates:After school hours Monday- Friday, August 30 – September 3 (Specific times TBD)

All day Saturday – Tuesday, September 4-7
(Specific times TBD. Sept. 6 is a holiday and we anticipate school to not be in session this day.)
Performance Dates:Tuesday, September 7- Sunday, September 12 (six shows)

BLUE STAR TEEN ENSEMBLE AUDITIONS:
(Must be ages 15-18 by submission deadline- July 26)

Kansas City’s Starlight Theatre and St. Louis’ MUNY are joining forces to co-produce this summer’s production of On Your Feet!. Starlight Theatre is looking for local teen talent to join the professional cast of On Your Feet! during its Kansas City run.

Starlight is looking to cast the following for its teen ensemble:•

10 skilled dancers who also sing• 8 offstage singers

Applicants may submit materials for both the dancing and singing components or just singing. Applicants cannot be cast as both a dancer and offstage singer.

BLUE STAR TEEN ENSEMBLE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• You must be ages 15-18 on July 26, 2021 (the submission deadline). Seniors who graduated class of 2021 may audition.

• In accordance with Actors’ Equity Association (the professional actors’ union), all participants in the production must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of August 16, 2021. Vaccination cards must be presented on the first day of rehearsal to the production’s Covid Safety Officer.

• Attendance at all rehearsals and performances is mandatory. Starlight is not able to schedule around conflicts. Should an actor miss a rehearsal or performance, they may be released from the production.

• Eligible students must be current or former participants of a Starlight community engagement program. This eligibility requirement is in place due to Starlight’s agreement with the national professional actors’ union.

Eligible students include current or former participants from the following programs:

• Blue Star Awards – Students whose school participated in the program in either the 2019-2020 or the 2020-2021 school years

• Vincent Legacy Scholarships

• Starlight Stars

• Starlight Stars of Tomorrow

Starlight Theatre is actively seeking a multi-cultural cast and utilizes non-traditional casting in their productions when ethnicity is not germane to the role or overall production
