To Audition for Live Oak Theatre: Brooksville, FL

Prepare 16 bars of a ballad as well as an up tempo musical theatre song. Please provide sheet music with chord symbols (an accompanist will be provided) or CD. Those auditioning for a role should be  prepared to read from the script or do improv and dance (wear comfortable clothes and dance shoes). *A less than 2 minute monologue is always encouraged but not required.

Another friendly piece of auditioning advice… If you are hoping to be cast in a specific role DO YOUR HOMEWORK!  Find a copy of the script and get to know the character and/or which character you would like to play.  It never hurts to research the history of the time period and the culture of said character.  Most importantly, if you are hoping to impress the Music Director it’s always a good idea to come in knowing the songs of the character you are auditioning for.
