Our model and designer applications for Spring #RVAFW 2022 are now open

SUBMISSIONS/ Applications close on January 16 & our in person call will be held on January 23— come join the #rvafashionweek family!

  • RVAFW events take place during the last week of April and our Fall Fashion Week events during the 1st week of of October.
  • RVAFW Spring Fashion Week: April 24 – May 1, 2022.
  • RVAFW Fashion Week: October 2 – 9, 2022.
  • RVAFW Fashion Week: April 23 – 30, 2023.
  • RVA Fashion Week welcomes ages from high school teenagers to adults.
  • All models will be asked to sign a consent form. Signing this form does not grant participation in any RVAFW shows/events.
  • All models under the age of 18 will need a parent/guardian with them to both audition and sign the consent form.

The Details:

Ladies: Wear 3” Inch heels or higher that you’re comfortable walking in and fit properly. No boots.

Gents: Casual shoes and sneakers are not allowed. Dress shoes or Chelsea boots are preferred.

All Models: Please wear form-fitting clothing e.g. black legging or jeans and a white top. Minimal to no make-up preferred.

The RVA Fashion Week team is excited to host another spectacular showcase of Richmond’s diverse fashion. Spearheaded by an unparalleled Board of Directors, they have been committed to facilitating a gateway to the fashion world from creation to consumer since 2008.
RVA Fashion Week represents Richmond, Virginia and the surrounding area’s top models, leading designers, choice producers, choreographers, and stylists. This ultimate combination delivers unforgettable events around Richmond and showcases many of the industry’s top organizations and charities. Every year, RVA Fashion Week has been committed to collaborating with local businesses and designers to display Richmond’s style, creativity, street culture, and arts by virtue of fashion. This venture has helped existing businesses build their clientele and increase their revenue. Our goal has been to raise awareness of the fashion and arts culture hidden in Richmond by supporting independent boutiques and designers through the support from local businesses, sponsors, vendors, participants, and guests.
RVA Fashion Week was initiated in 2008 from a small group of VCU students whom had met working together on local fashion events in Richmond. Varying in major from fashion and design to marketing and business – together, they embarked on a large-scale project to showcase Richmond’s unique fashion and culture.
RVA Fashion Week is now overseen by a Board of Directors and streamlined into committees to manage the overwhelming growth that continues to rise year after year. This awe-inspiring production is 100 percent volunteer-based, from the top of the chain-of-command to the event-day volunteers. The continued support and contributions from the city is what has kept RVA Fashion Week going for over 13 years.
