URGENT CASTING* -2nd Casting for NYC & Miami!!!!

JCPenney is casting Hispanic people and their families in the NY or Miami areas, who have a milestone or achievement that is a “first” in their family. Such achievements could be the first to own a house, the first to have a specific career, or be the first to celebrate a milestone in a unique way (ie. someone who wasn’t able to have a quinceañera, so is having a treintañera).

JCP wants to highlight a “first” in a US Hispanic family, told from the POV of the “pionero” and the family member(s) that help achieve their goals and show how the sacrifices of one generation can provide opportunities for the next one.

Filming would be in the NY or Miami area on— February 9th, with a possible fitting day before hand.
Compensation: $SET FLAT RATE /person
Video will be used on socials and in a spot on Univision.

How to Become a Candidate:

Each year, thousands of young women participate at the local, state and national levels, culminating in the selection of 51 National Finalists who compete for the title of Miss America. One of them could be you!

To become Miss America, a Candidate must first enter and win a local Competition, like the Miss South Florida Fair / Miss Palm Beach County Scholarship Competition. She then competes in the Miss Florida Competition and, if she wins, will represent Florida at the Miss America Competition. This process requires hard work, talent, and personal commitment. As a State titleholder, a Candidate may only compete once at the National Miss America Competition.

We will be awarding over $13,000 in Scholarships and Cash at our Competition which will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at the 2023 South Florida Fair.


MISS AMERICA “MISS PROGRAM” ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be between 19 and 26 years of age
    • Must be at least 19 as of 12/31/2023 and not be older than 26 years of age as of 12/31/2023
    • Must be a citizen of the United States of America
    • Must be a resident or full-time student (accepted and successfully enrolled in and physically attending classes on a full-time basis at an accredited college, or university, or technical school) or employed on a full-time basis, as defined by Florida State Law, residing in or attending school in one of the following Counties: Broward, Hendry, Martin, Okeechobee or Palm Beach
    • Required to pay a $35 Participation Fee on the MAO Registration Website once accepted into the MSFF / MPBC Program
    • Required to pay a $75 Local Registration Fee on the MAO Registration Website once accepted into the MSFF / MPBC Program
    • Must be able to commit to a minimum of six (6) rehearsals between Sunday January 1, 2023 and Thursday, January 12, 2023
    • Must be in reasonably good health to meet the job requirements
    • Must be able to meet the time commitment and job responsibilities as set forth by the local, state and national competition(s) in which you compete
    • Must have a stage talent and be an amateur and not under contract with any talent agency or professional agent
    • Must never have been married or had a marriage annulled, or get married during the Year of Service, never have been pregnant, and cannot be the adoptive parent of any child

Auditions for Celebrity Cruises Performers in Miami-Ages 18+

Celebrity Cruise Lines is holding auditions this month in Miami.

Are you a performer who has always wanted to do what you love….performing, while getting paid to travel around the world on a luxury cruise ship? If you live in south Florida, this is a chance to meet that goal as Celebrity Cruises is looking for performers to join their at sea shows.

Celebrity Cruises is looking to cast and holding auditions for theatrical performers that can sing and dance. Auditions are being held later this month but will be by appointment only and appointments are being set right now on the Cruise Line’s website, you may find additional information below as well as the link to their site.

The casting teams for the cruise line are looking for triple threats that are able to fill a variety of roles in their live shows.  They are requesting that performers who are interested in attending a live audition fill out their online form (provided by BUSA PLACEMENT) to confirm their audition slot.  The productions are seeking singers who can move well as well as dancers and performers who fall somewhere in between.

SEEKING:

Performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, and union affiliations to portray male- and female-identifying roles. Celebrity Cruises encourages gender diverse and color conscious casting. Performers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds, gender identities, and abilities are encouraged to apply. MUST BE 18+ TO AUDITION.

CHARACTER BARITENOR: Seeking vocalists to play male-identifying roles with a larger-than-life stature, personality, and voice to match. Must have excellent comedic timing, be comfortable and confident in drag (a la Miss Trunchbull), be comfortable singing pop/rock music, and be able to hold harmonies up to a sustained Bb. Improv experience is a plus. Must have an authentic or convincing RP accent. MUST MOVE CONFIDENTLY.

LEAD VOCALISTS: Seeking powerhouse vocalists with great stamina. Styles to include pop/rock, R&B, contemporary musical theater. Vocalists to play Female-identified roles need a strong mix/belt to F5, and legit to C6 for some roles. Vocalists to play male-identified roles need bari- tenors to G4 and tenors up to B4 with strong falsetto extension for both. MUST MOVE WELL.

SINGER/DANCERS: Seeking singer/dancers who are true triple threats. We require technically trained dancers with a strong vocal background. Dance styles in jazz, ballet, commercial, and partnering. Vocal styles to include pop/rock, R&B, contemporary musical theater. For female-identified roles, singer-dancers must have a strong pop/rock belt to D. For male-identified roles, bari-tenors need to have vocal range up to A4; tenors up to to a B4. Must be capable of understudying lead vocalist tracks as well as performing in the ensemble of dancers.

DANCERS: Seeking fit, athletic, and technically trained dancers with a strong background in jazz, ballet, contemporary, commercial, tap & partnering. Male-identifying dancers must have a strong physique and be capable of lifts. Female-identifying dancers should have lean silhouettes and be able to perform in 3″ heels including turns, leaps, floor drops & partnering. Gymnastics, aerial training, tumbling and partnering skills are a plus.

VOCALISTS / SINGER DANCERS

Must come prepared with the vocal audition packet below that best showcases your talents. Please also bring your best 16 bars (preferably pop/rock) in the proper key and have repertoire books ready if asked. An accompanist will be provided. Vocalists to play female-identifying roles should bring and be prepared to dance in 3″ heels. Vocalists to play male-identifying roles should bring character/jazz shoes. Please bring appropriate form-fitting dance attire.
