Get on the Disney Show- Witch Mountain!

The Disney+ project is filming in the Toronto area and Disney casting directors have an open casting call to fill roles in Witch Mountain.
If you live in Toronto and have dreamed of getting on Disney, here is your chance.

Disney+ and ABC signature’s Witch Mountain is looking to fill a few teen roles.

  • While the roles are for teens, they are specifically looking for older teens who are at least 18 years of age but can look younger. 
  • The roles are open to newbies, so no prior experience of any kind is required.

According to the local Toronto news, all ethnicities are being considered and that the Disney+ show may also be looking to fill a few larger roles including the series lead roles and some regular roles.  Disney’s Witch Mountain will be filming in Toronto between November 29, 2022 and December 15, 2022.

The roles are open to any ethnicity, and they’re looking for two series leads and two series regulars.  

There is a deadline for teen actors to Submit by-on the 4th of this month.

Roles:

Tia

a 16-year-old girl who is “witty and spunky but haunted by a family tragedy,” and 16-year-old Ben, who is a “misfit from the wrong side of the tracks” and a charming “hurt puppy type. The two series regulars are Corey and Peter, who are the lead’s closest friends of the opposite sex.

Corey

is a 17-year-old girl who’s friends with series lead Ben. She’s a part of the LGBTQ+ community and considered an “outsider,” according to the casting call.

Peter

is a nerdy 16-year-old and Tia’s closest male friend.

LGBTQ+ members are encouraged to audition for her part.

MALE ACTORS- Auditions in New Orleans – FEATURED ROLES in a FILM!

The Nickel Boys is in production in the New Orleans area and the project has an open casting call out for area locals that would love a chance to be background actors on the movie set. By the way, the roles are paid.

The Nickel Boys is a book written by Colson Whitehead in 2019. The book and the film are actually based on the true story of the Dozier School. The Dozier School was a reform school in the state of Florida. The school operated for over 100 years in the state and was finally exposed by an investigation that was led by a university. The book was highly acclaimed and did receive the honor of being named one of TIME’s best books of the decade. Whitehead had previously won a Pulitzer a few years prior for his book about the Underground Railroad.

MOVIE PLOT:

According to online reports, the movie is a period piece which focuses on events that take place between the 60’s and 2010. It chronicles the Dozier School for Boys in Florida (which is no longer in existence) and what was going on behind the scenes of that school which are literally described as atrocities which ended up with human bodies that were literally buried in the backyard.

The movie is expected to begin filming mid October and will be needing many people to work as paid movie extras on the set.

Filming is expected to be in and around LaPlace, New Orleans, Hammond and Ponchatoula.

The movie will be in production into the winter and is expected to wrap somewhere around mid December.

“THE IRON CLAW”
Based on a true story, the film follows the rise and fall of the Von Erich family, a dynasty of wrestlers who made a huge impact on the sport from the 1960s to the present day.

Zac Efron is set to star in the project which is described as a comedy / drama. “The Iron Claw” comes from the writer and director Sean Durkin. Sean Durkin is credited with writing and directing the movie. A24 are producing along with Tessa Ross, Derrin Schlesinger and Harrison Huffman. The movie is also backed by House Productions, Access Entertainment and BBC Films.

The film is a comedic take on the true story of someone named Von Erichs. Erichs was a wrestler and the movie will be documenting the the family as they rise and then fall. The family, involved in the wrestling industry, made an impact on what has become modern wrestling beginning in the 1960’s and lasting straight through today. The family is considered a wrestling dynasty which is given some credit for shaping the course of of the sport.
